It's important to give our clients a safe and secure environment. This entails taking precautions against mishaps, guaranteeing the security of medications, and shielding them from abuse or neglect of any kind. Prioritizing emotional, and physical safety.   • Diet and Nutrition: Keep a record of the client's dietary intake, including what they eat and drink, portion sizes, and any special dietary restrictions or preferences.

  • Hygiene and Personal Care: Document the assistance provided with activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing, noting any difficulties or preferences the client may have.

  • Mobility and Ambulation: Note the client's mobility, including any use of assistive devices, and document any falls or near-falls to prevent future incidents.

  • Mood and Emotional Well-being: Keep track of the client's emotional state and any changes in mood or behavior. Note any signs of anxiety, depression, or changes in social interactions.

  • Communication: Document any notable conversations or interactions with the client, including their communication preferences, concerns, or requests.

  • Environmental and Safety Concerns: Report any safety hazards or concerns within the home, such as clutter, tripping hazards, or faulty equipment.

  • Incident or Accident Reports: If any accidents or incidents occur during the day, such as falls or injuries, provide detailed accounts of what happened, the circumstances, and the actions taken.

  • Family or Caregiver Communication: Document any communication with family members or other caregivers, including any updates, concerns, or requests.

​

  • Client's Preferences: Keep a record of the client's likes and dislikes, as well as any specific routines or preferences they have.

  • Special Instructions: Document any specific instructions or changes in care plans provided by healthcare professionals or the client's family.

  • Emergency Contact Information: Ensure you have access to and document emergency contact information for the client and relevant healthcare providers.

What we CAN'T do 

Our staff members do NOT hold certification for medical care regarding companions. This includes;

Toileting 

Incontinence care

Perineal care

Catheter care

Bathing

Oral hygiene

Hand washing

Dressing

Skin, hair & nail care

Our staff members are fully trained in first aid as well as various emergency scenarios & situations.
